Country House

An old country house, uninhabited for decades and in need of significant structural rehabilitation. It was necessary to undertake the consolidation of the building, including the reconstruction of the roof and the reinforcement of the floor slabs, restoring safety and stability to the entire architectural organism. Despite its complete functional transformation, the distinctive features of the original house were preserved and enhanced: the barrel vaults, the small vaulted ceilings with steel beams, and the reinforcement tie rods - elements that narrate the history of the building and define its material identity. Distributed over two levels with a garden at the front, the residence was reimagined to maintain the authentic character of a country house while combining it with a functional organization of spaces and contemporary comfort. Particular attention was devoted to conviviality, creating welcoming and flexible environments capable of hosting the owners' many friends.
