Apartment on a Street

Spacious apartment located on the first floor of a 1960s building, boasting a southern exposure and characterized by a particularly evocative light that filters through the large trees of the boulevard in front during the summer months. Fulfilling the owners' wishes, the original marble flooring in the entrance was preserved, embellished with a 'Verde Alpi' edging, a signature element that introduces the home’s character. Taking advantage of the generous square footage of this area, two distribution corridors were created to functionally separate the sleeping quarters from the service area, which includes the kitchen and a study. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors were installed to emphasize the verticality of the rooms while contributing to a fluid perception of the spaces. One of these, when slid open, reveals a hidden bookcase discreetly integrated into the interior architecture. Several antique objects, carefully maintained and highlighted, embellish the rooms and establish a balanced dialogue between memory and modernity.
